Ellie's first REAL trip to the Emergency Room

Well, Ellie had her first real experience with the emergency room yesterday! It was so sad! We were at our friends' Cory and Andrea's house just enjoying some breakfast and Ellie decided she wanted to sit on mom's lap for a little bit. When Ellie tried to get down she ended up just slipping and falling and wacking her ear on the corner of a metal frame chair! When she stood crying and bleeding it looked like just a scratch, turns out she sliced her ear wide open! So we rushed her to Lourdes Emergency Room in Pasco and our poor baby ended up getting 7 stitches in the top of her left ear. She was such a trooper up until they had to inject her ear with the numbing stuff! The they had to wrap her up like a little burrito to stitch her ear up. Needless to say mom got pretty woozy watching her get stiched up, dad on the other hand was solid as a rock! Way to go dad! We will post pictures as soon as we can! It's pretty ugly!

Christmas and 2008 have come and gone

Oh my goodness, this year has really flown right by! It seems like yesterday we were ringing in 2008! Well Christmas this year was fantastic! We got everything on our Christmas lists and more! We're so lucky to have such wonderful families to celebrate the holidays with. We did our usual Krug family tradition of having salmon and lefse at Grandma and Grandpa Krug's house in Othello on Christmas Eve. If you've never had salmon and lefse...I highly recommend it. It is delicious. Anyways, afterwards we cleaned up from eating, played some games, sang Christmas carols and did our gift exchange. Afterwards we went down Sarah's grandparents' house in Kennewick and visited for a little while before heading off to Christmas Eve candlelight service at church with Sarah's parents. Christmas morning we read the story about Christ's birth from Sarah's family bible with her parents and sister and brother-in-law and opened gifts and had breakfast. After breakfast we headed back up to Connell to have lunch and gifts at Ross' parents' house. All in all it was a very wonderful couple of days celebrating Christmas. Ellie got a ton of dress up clothes! That girl is in heaven! We also got her a kitten for Christmas which she loves!

For New Year's this year we went over to our good friends Cory and Andrea Bond's house for their annual New Year's Eve bash. We had a great time being with all our friends and ringing in the new year!

We're hoping this year will be filled with lots of new and exciting things not just for us but for our friends and family.
